Survivalcraft was first released on 16th of November 2011 on Windows Phone 7, where it enjoyed a lot of success being the first block world game to reach that platform. The version number was 1.0.
Android version was released on October 14, 2012, at version 1.17. Amazon users got it less than a month later with version 1.18. iOS build of version 1.21 was approved by Apple on 26th of April 2013.
All platforms receive the updates simultaneously, bar certification/review delays imposed by the stores (usually about 1 week for Microsoft, Amazon and Apple – and now also Google since 2020).

Alpha 1.1
- Take a photo to your phone’s media library using the new camera button.
- Improved lighting model with maximum light propagation of 15 blocks (versus 8 in Alpha 1.0).
- Torch with light range of 13.
- Wicker lamp with light range of 15.
- Tools damage added. Tools will wear out with use and eventually break.
- New tools modelled on Minecraft by popular request: shovels are for digging soft material, pickaxes are for quarrying hard substances, and axes are for chopping and hacking through organic stuff.
