1. There are tow types of raw eggs - laid eggs and spawner eggs. The game makes a difference between them. The laid eggs are supposed to have the same chance as in a survuval mode but the spawner eggs should always hatch a bird. 2. I think that's so the adventure designer can decide when the character gets a diamond sword and they can always use it. 3. I don't know about that one. 4. I seem to remeber he said that it won't rot because adventure game designers need to be able to store food as a reward.
