Theories don't 'exists', they are only someone's guess at what reality is. Anyone can come up with a theory about anything. And people have been trying to find the "theory of everything" since the beginning of human thought!

A theory is used to make predictions that can only be explained if the theory is correct. Then they have to be proven or dis-proven by repeated experiments and observations done by uninterested parties. Then and only then are they called a 'law'.

Just like the whole global warming theory. Every prediction made by the environmental alarmists has proven FALSE but they refuse to admit the theory is WRONG.
