For doing what? Just to make simple sounds or an entire music?

For simple sounds it only needs simple electric stuff... Maybe only one button and a couple of other stuff like batteries are more than enough.

If you want to make pure music, you have to build something of complex with a huge amount of Memory Banks, Wire-Trough blocks and many other stuff...
